Fundación Mona was set up to prevent primates being exploited in captivity. Unfortunately, there are huge numbers of chimpanzees kept in terrible conditions in circuses, zoos and being sold by illegal traffickers. At Mona we would like to be able to rescue more of these needy primates and offer them a decent life, like those who already live at the centre, but we can only carry on our work with your help. A chimpanzee costs around €5,400 a year to keep. Adopt one of our chimps or become an active member, you can help us ensure their future and give hope to other chimpanzees who need it. In return, all sponsors receive a photo, an adoption certificate, information on how your chimp is progressing and a copy of the Fundación’s twice-yearly magazine. Members will also receive our magazine, and more importantly, they can come and visit us whenever they like.
