Many people feel attracted to these animals so similar to our species. You now have the possibility of visiting our primate cousins, very close to home, and to enjoy a small group guided visit. For two hours, an experienced MONA caretaker accompanies visitors on an educational visit. The intention is to show the public the work carried out in this rescue center and the reasons why it is done. First you may see photos and a video where you will understand from where and why these animals had to be rescued. Then, the caretaker takes you on a tour of the different species and the facilities: the outdoor 5,600 m² chimpanzee facility, the association cages, and the various macaques facilities. In this manner, we can all personally meet the animals, become acquainted with their particular stories, and learn about the characteristics of these species and their habits, everyday life in MONA, and present situation in Nature.

It is necessary to request a date and a time for a visit at 972.477.618 or at: visit@fundacionmona.org You will be spend a unique day in the company of family or friends. A visit may also be arranged by filling in this Visit Request

Generally, our schedules are as follows:

• July and August: visits from Monday to Sunday, morning or afternoon, Catalan, Spanish, English, or French.
• Other months: Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, visits in Catalan or Spanish, morning or afternoon. Weekdays, in English or French.

We cannot guarantee visits on the above mentioned days. It all depends on the time of year and the number of workers available at the time. The exact time will be confirmed upon requesting the visit, since it changes in the course of the year.

IMPORTANT: It is absolutely necessary to request a time for your visit. Mona Foundation is not an animal exhibition center and is only open to the public for guided tours. Without an appointment, most probably we will not be able to assist the group, and seeing the animals will be impossible. When booking in advance, please bear in mind that our capacity is limited.
