(Born in captivity in 2003 / arrived in MONA in 2003) In the past.......Born in a zoo in the Canary Islands, taken from his mother at an early age, and sold as a pet to a private person in Madrid. Strong points …..Friendly and cheerful. Having arrived very young at our centre, he has great skills for relating to other individuals in his group, and is loved and frequently indulged and allowed to obtain whatever he wants. His status in the group is high due to belonging to it since an early age and to being adopted by Waty, the dominant female. Weak points....Exhibits stereotyped conduct by swaying repeatedly while grasping a haystack when the group moves and he is left alone. Quite hyperactive and insistent at times, causing fights in the group. Loves to....interact, play, and break anything new brought by caregivers. |
